Doubtless you are aware of the future-predicting reputation of the 16th century Frenchman Michel de Nostredame, or Nostradamus.
Well, Nostradamus does not have a monopoly on future vision.
In an early 2006 article in ESOMAR Research World article entitled “I have seen the future and it looks like Google,” Andrew Jeavons, now president at Survey Analytics, dropped this whopper of a prediction:
“What’s next? A Google service to provide word processing in a web browser? Accounting? I haven’t seen surveys.google.com yet, but something tells me it might just be round the corner. And that would shake things up a bit!”
2006!
According to my recent interview with Paul McDonald of Google Consumer Surveys, they did not conceive of the idea until 2011.
Not to mention predicting Google Docs in the same paragraph.
Incredible. Take a bow, Andrew.
And please, tell us what’s coming next.
