New state map uncovers secrets of Internet access in WA state

Washington’s interactive map is slated to be publicly available soon on the Washington State Broadband site.
This map will list detail of where is broadband Internet access available in Washington state, in what forms is it deployed, and what types of speeds can people get.
“We’re becoming a digital economy, and there are significant parts of our state that are not ready for it. These maps are going to show specifically where it is we’re not ready, so that we can start making plans in a very targeted, strategic way,” said Angela Wu, the state DIS broadband policy and programs manager .”It should directly impact economic development and creation of new jobs.”
